Let's face it in today's economy every smart homeowner, developer and investor is all about their ROI. But how do we achieve and even increase our return on investment?
Adding value to your property is always a great place to start. Before we are able to add value we must first understand what "value" really means. Value to a potential buyer is perceived and influenced by many factors.
These factors are:
Since there is not much we can do about the location and neighborhood of our properties, we should do our best to create a positive impact on property value by addressing the remaining items on the list, features and conditions.

This is not a picture of my client :).
Today I got a frantic call from an old prospective client:
"Peta, it has gone all wrong I have spent so much money and nothing is working I am so stressed out when can we meet!."
This was a boutique hotel owner who I had met with mid last year, we had gone back and forth through the negotiation process to create the best interior design package that met both his interior design requirements and budget. I thought we were ready to move forward only to discover weeks later that due to the state of the economy he had decided to "cut cost" by doing all the design on his own.
The other day I was looking for a comfortable, visually interesting piece of furniture for a clients theater room, with my only direction being "Peta, I like bean bags." I came across this beautiful piece of furniture designed by Michel Ducaroy.

The Togo is a Ligne Roset classic which I had the privilege to discover only a few weeks ago, this elegant visually stimulating collection is much more comfortable than it looks. After sitting in one of the togo chairs you might not want to get up for days, the experience is that good.

There is also a kids version of this delightful collection.

Who says that corporate offices and the people that work in them need to follow the traditional idea of gray cubicles, fluorescent lighting and life sucking energy?
Your office should be a place you are inspired to be in, an environment that stimulates energy, ideas and new innovate ways that make you, your clients and your company money. How can you do this in a dull space that breeds a team of unmotivated people who's only highlights of the day is lunch break and checkout time?
