ASD is owned and operated by Peta-Gaye Shoucair, a Manhattan Interior Architect who has worked on some of the most desired residential and commercial buildings in New York City, New Jersey, Florida and her home country of Jamaica. Shoucair began her career as an Interior Architecture with two of the preeminent residential and commercial architecture firms in New York City; Kohn Pederson Fox and Ismael Levya Architects. She holds a Masters in Interior Architecture, Lighting Design and Business Management.
In 2010, A Shoucair Design partnered with East Block Studios, a Manhattan spatial design workforce specializing in the modernization of commercial and residential spaces. Together, we provide our clients a complete interior design package.
Angelika Wrzesinska, Managing Partner of A Shoucair Design and President of East Block Studios is a graduate of the Interior Design Department at Parsons School of Design. During her school years she was selected a winner of the Veedon Fleece Rug Competition, and a finalist at the Annual Starwood Hotel Suite Design Competition. Since then she was the executor of a conceptual space for the NeoCon World Trade Fair in Chicago under the nomination of the Director of the Interior Design program at Parsons, for two consecutive years (2008 and 2009) was a winner of the Best Installation Contest organized by 3-Form, and one of her projects was selected for publication in an upcoming book on extraordinary New York interiors.
